Synopsis: Based on L.M. Montgomery’s classic novels Anne of Avonlea and Anne of the Island, this acclaimed BBC mini-series continues the story of Anne Shirley (Kim Braden), the heroine of Anne of Green Gables as she begins her job as a schoolteacher. New adventures lie in store for Anne as her life at Green Gables takes unexpected turns with the arrival of two new orphans and the realization of her dream to go to college. Through marriage proposals from suitors to the sale of her first story, Anne holds on to her memories of Avonlea and discovers life and love on her own terms.
